Our little champ Theo has Ohtahara syndrome which is not a very well known condition, his ARX gene is mutated which causes him to have uncontrollable drug resistant epilepsy. We have good patches and we have bad! On top of that he has brittle bones meaning that his bones break easily! Not great when you have seizures!

Life has been a roller-coaster to say the least, but everyone who meets Theo falls in love with him! He’s definitely a charmer….especially with the ladies in uniform ?!

Theo comes with an entourage of medical equipment to keep him at home and out of hospital. Our house is currently not accessible and we are unable to access upstairs as Theo’s hospital bed won’t fit upstairs. We currently have had to turn our living room/ dining room into a bedroom. We also can’t use the front door to get into the house as his wheel chair won’t fit through. Our house feels like just a house at the moment and not a home. We just want a space that accommodates Theo’s equipment and we can access.

We need to extend the front of our house to widen the front door and allow turning space for the wheelchair. We have had the plans done but currently are unable to afford the build cost.

We are seeking your support to enable our house to become a home and create Theo with a home he can access.

We need to raise the £18000 build cost, all money raised will go towards the building supplies and labour. Any extra money raised will be spent on flooring and the decoration needed once building has been completed.

We will keep you fully updated with pictures so you can see the impact you will make in a very special boys life.

We have been overwhelmed by the level of generosity from the very beginning of our project. Today we have seen a flutter of donations and just wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU!! Every penny donated really is making a difference. The house is currently a building site and each day we are edging closer to turning this house into a home where our main focus will turn from existing in a space that didn’t fit Theo’s needs or equipment to a home where we have the space to make memories which will last a lifetime! We fully appreciate that in these times any amount donated is significant and whether it’s £1 or £100 it’s making a massive difference to Theo and his families life.
